Under This Roof · Powder River Roofing & Restoration
Where weather meets everything you call home.
When the sky shifts, the roofline becomes more than an edge of the house. It becomes the line between the weather outside and the life continuing inside.
Outside: weather. Inside: everything that makes a home yours.
The moment weather changes everything
There is a moment when it all feels closer.
The light in the hallway. The familiar room at the end of it. The small, ordinary things that make a house yours. Weather has a way of bringing them into focus.
Then the questions arrive. What happened. What matters now. What do I need to know first.
Start with what is actually there.
Why we work this way
The founder comes out and looks himself.
James Jennings attends the inspection personally. He founded this company, and when you call, he is the one who comes out and tells you what he sees.
He served in the U.S. Army. After that, a country music hall. Then the Union Pacific railroad. Then building for other people before he built for himself. Different work, same lesson every time: out here your word is the whole business, and everyone finds out what it is worth.
He founded Powder River Development Group in 2024, named for the river. He has passed the ICC F11 (General Building) and F14 (Roofing) National Standard exams.
No sales floor. No scripts. He’ll tell you what he’d do if it were his house — including “nothing yet.”
James Jennings · FounderThe work behind the promise
A closer look changes the conversation.
We look closely at the condition in front of us. We document what we can verify, explain the options plainly, and put the scope in writing before work moves forward.
- 01Look closely.Begin with the actual condition.
- 02Document what is there.Keep a clear record of what we can verify.
- 03Explain the options.Talk through the path in plain language.
- 04Put the scope in writing.Make the next step clear before work moves forward.
Look first. Document it. Then explain what comes next.
What that looks like in practice: roof repair, roof replacement, storm damage, and insurance-scope help — or see all roofing services.
Seen up close
The details tell their own story.
Three real photographs, taken on the job. Each caption describes only what is visible in the frame — no cause, no outcome, no timeline.

Every image in this chapter is a real photograph of a real condition. Nothing here is staged, paired as a before-and-after, or presented as a finished result. The atmospheric imagery elsewhere on this page is illustrative — sky, land, and material — and never depicts a customer, a home, or work performed.
The land and the responsibility
Under a big sky, details matter.
Powder River Roofing & Restoration serves Wyoming and Colorado. Here, weather is never an abstract idea. A close look and a clear next step matter. See where we work — each property is confirmed for current service area and capacity.
The landscape is wide. The responsibility is personal.
